A great story has the power to influence like no other. The right individual will have the ability to spark a conversation and perhaps mold different viewpoints. The goal with this project is to bring in someone who can share experiences about LGBTQ+ issues and how progress can come from these problems. This event will inspire a dialogue about inclusivity, and the importance of diversity in an ever-changing world.
Any donations would be used toward hiring an individual to be a featured speaker, booking the venue, and providing travel and accommodations for the guest. Support for this project will promote a Rensselaer of diversity in ideas and individuals.
Lavender Ambassadors is a professional development and K-12 outreach club that focuses on LGBTQ+ and STEM issues. Lavender Ambassadors attempts to host a few major events each academic year, and our hope is to host a guest speaker on campus. For more information, please visit our website.
