RPI Ambulance

Update:

Last year, we announced our new ambulance fundraising project, with a goal of raising $10,000.  Thanks to our generous donors, we successfully raised more than $6,700, making us one of the most successful fundraising campaigns last year!

However, an ambulance costs much, much more, about $160,000. We currently have just under $100,000 between our reserves and gift fund. To purchase a new ambulance, we need your help once again. If you give today, your gift will be doubled, thanks to a generous matching contribution of up to $5,000 from two of our alumni, Former Captain Joseph Salim '08 and Raquel (Ayala) Salim '07.

We appreciate your generosity and investment in the future of RPI Ambulance. Every gift is bringing us closer to a new rig that will allow us to continue serving the Rensselaer community!

Impact of Your Gift

Your gift will enable RPI Ambulance to buy and maintain a new ambulance. Our current ambulance has allowed us to train our members and transport patients for more than eleven years.  With your help, we can continue providing care for another decade or more.

As an EMS agency, safety and patient care are jointly our number one priorities. Additionally, it is just as important to train our members to the highest standards in order to further the aforementioned safety and patient care. Finally, we require our equipment be kept up-to-date and in working order. Through purchasing a new ambulance, we can continue to provide the highest quality patient care to the Rensselaer community, and further the spirit of giving back!

Why Support Us

RPI Ambulance provides an invaluable service to the RPI community, whether through the emergency medical services we give, our membership training opportunities, or the education we provide to students and staff. Our agency has provided emergency and first aid services for forty years, and trained members to become successful EMTs. These members are now paramedics, doctors, and firefighters, among other things, who learned the spirit of giving back during their time with us. We want to give all these opportunities and our services to the students in the future, who will follow in our footsteps.

About RPI Ambulance

RPI Ambulance is a student-run volunteer EMS agency. Our goal is to ensure that RPI students and faculty receive efficient, skilled treatment in the event of a medical emergency. We also occasionally provide mutual aid for Troy, North Greenbush, Brunswick, and the surrounding area.
