Our Crowdfunding Groups
At competition this year at FSAE Michigan, RM23 placed 23rd out of 116 teams, beating our goal of placing in the top 25. The car’s strong performance is a reflection of the thousands of hours team members spent designing and building the car, and the support of our sponsors and patrons. We are beginning work on our new car, RM24, with the goal of placing in the top 15 next year. In order to compete with the teams at this level, every bit of support we can get is helpful and much appreciated.
Many students are introduced to concepts through design work and manufacturing for the team before they learn them in class, allowing them to learn the concepts better and become better engineers. Anyone who has worked on making or manufacturing components for the car will tell you that they learned a lot, and that no classroom can provide the hands-on learning experience the team does. Your gift makes sure that the team has the financial resources to continue to offer this opportunity to all Rensselaer students.
Donors who give more than $250 are eligible to have their name on the car.
