Thank you to everyone who made a gift to this project! While this round of weR Gold closed June 30, you may still support students with your gift by visiting the Rensselaer Giving website.
“Supporting Exploring Engineering Day means supporting STEM education for all, regardless of socioeconomic status or background. This completely free event is funded entirely through donations that help us gain the necessary supplies to run hands-on activities. The event engages all members of the RPI community as we come together to illustrate the magic of STEM.” - Alexa Solomon
What You’re Supporting
Each donation will go towards SWE’s annual student outreach event, Exploring Engineering Day. Various STEM-based student organizations engage with children grades 3-5 to spark their interest in STEM and build lasting impressions on what their future can lead to. Donations allow participation and registration for all attendees to remain free.
We need to raise $3,000 in order to fund Exploring Engineering Day 2024 and support STEM education!
The future of STEM starts with the children of today. Those who participate in this event become enriched with new knowledge and the possibility of pursuing a career in science, technology, engineering, and math. Each year, we are seeing an increasing number of participants in Exploring Engineering Day, many of which are returning students from previous years. We routinely hear feedback from both participants and parents on the deep impact the program has.
