The Mission
The RPI Dance Team is a group of spirited students who share their passion for dance through performances both inside and outside the RPI community. On campus, the team makes appearances at athletic events such as football and basketball games to show our passion, dedication, and hard work for the art form. Outside of the community, we compete both regionally and nationally against other college dance teams.
The RPI Dance Team provides students the opportunity to continue their dance training in a safe and constructive environment. Members of the team demonstrate commitment, spirit, determination, and responsibility – all qualities that will ensure success in future endeavors. The RPI Dance Team serves the institute by representing RPI students' dedication to academics, athletics, and the arts.
What You’re Supporting
Your donation will support the dance team's trip to the NDA Dance Championship in Daytona Beach, Florida this April 2024. Your support will help provide travel, food, lodging, and other expenses to this prestigious, invitation-only competition. Your gift will also reduce the cost of each team member’s expected contribution.
This project will impact Rensselaer for the greater good as it highlights the importance of the arts, and provides a creative outlet for students to express themselves and share their passions with others. We provide a positive representation of school spirit and talent to the Rensselaer community. With your donation, you can expect to see the RPI Dance Team leaving their hearts out on the dance floor under the Daytona sun! We also wish to show off our hard work through earning satisfactory scores and helpful feedback from our judges.
We need to raise $9,000 in order to compete at NDA Nationals in Daytona Beach, Florida!
We are ecstatic to have qualified to compete at Nationals for the second year in a row, and this will be the RPI Dance Team’s 3rd time ever competing at Nationals. We represent RPI as one of the 430 teams there and took 3rd in Hip Hop and 5th in Jazz this past year. Your donation helps make it possible for us to attend again and continue to work towards bringing a national title home to RPI.
