What You're Supporting

Rensselaer Formula Hybrid provides an opportunity for students to apply and extend what they learn in class and get valuable engineering experience. The team designs, manufactures, and tests the majority of the parts on the vehicle, which is a great chance to practice engineering design and analysis concepts taught in class. The multidisciplinary and collaborative work that Formula Hybrid focuses on provides students good experience for engineering work environments in the real world. Donating to this helps us to continue designing and building a race car annually. Because we are a largely self-funded team, a gift supports Rensselaer Formula Hybrid by allowing us to purchase tools, equipment, or parts for the race car. This allows us to build and test our race car for competition.

Supporting us helps fund the cost of our raw material for parts, as well as competition and other fees. By doing this, you not only help students gain valuable experience working with the engineering design process, but also allows Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to give future students opportunities to join professional clubs like Formula Hybrid. Clubs like these not only provide students with experience and networking opportunities, but help define the university’s campus culture with the activities that they can offer.
