The Mission
Rensselaer Motorsport strives to be a source of pride for Rensselaer and the team’s sponsors. Competing at the national and international level provides our members with invaluable engineering experience and networking opportunities. Members regularly attend admissions and student events on and off-campus, presenting information on our vehicle design and sharing our passion with prospective students. For our local sponsors, support for Rensselaer Motorsport means promoting their business to an influential, technically savvy audience and making a clear statement on the importance of developing tomorrow’s leaders in engineering, technology, and business. Each year we welcome the incoming freshman class at the WelcomeFest event with our car. Rensselaer Motorsport members proudly represent the Institute and its sponsors to other universities, industry professionals, and the greater community.
What You're Supporting
This donation supports a team of diverse individuals that are coming together in order to build the fastest car in the country. This year, we are in the process of researching and developing an all new fully electric car, as well as several advanced parts for our current car. This includes full carbon fiber wheel shells, a monocoque, and several others.
Who We Are
We are working extremely hard this year even with the pandemic continuing. As a team, our funding has gone down significantly due to COVID and as such we are worried that we may not be able to continue building race cars if our budget continues to dwindle.
