Corporate Ambassador Challenge – Extended until 2π Giving Day on June 28

This year’s Corporate Ambassador Challenge brings unprecedented hardships, as it coincides with the global pandemic that is impacting all aspects of our lives – including those of our students, who will be continuing their instruction online for the remainder of the semester. Given these extenuating circumstances, we made the decision to extend the Rensselaer Corporate Ambassador Challenge until June 28, 2020 – 2π Giving Day (Tau Day).

Between now and 2π Giving Day on June 28, we are encouraging alumni at GE to support the Rensselaer Annual Fund. Your gift will provide critical support to our future alumni and alumnae as global leaders and will show our students just how strong this community is. The company with the highest giving participation among alumni and alumnae between now and June 28 will receive the Rensselaer Corporate Cup to display in their office for a full year.

Funding Priorities

GE alumni and alumnae donations will help support Rensselaer students in the following areas:

  • Rensselaer Annual Fund (area of greatest need): Your gift will help our current generation of students complete their Rensselaer education, and allow them to become the future leaders in science, technology, and innovation. Gifts to the Annual Fund support the area of greatest need, one of our many athletics and scholarship programs, or student-specific funds, among several options.
  • Student Relief Fund: Your support of the Student Relief Fund will provide critical support to students who are facing financial hardships due to the COVID-19 pandemic and help cover the costs of travel expenses, meals, technology needs and other necessities as they continue their coursework.
  • Annual Fund Scholars: This program provides financial aid and scholarship support directly to current Rensselaer students. Your gift will ensure students of all backgrounds to follow their dreams, and to have access to a Rensselaer education.
  • Society of Women Engineers at Rensselaer: Your gift will help support the success of female undergraduates in engineering programs at Rensselaer, offering a host of opportunities for exceptional women to prepare and succeed in today's technologically advanced and culturally diverse workforce. The Society of Women Engineers at Rensselaer has won several awards, and hosted the regional conference twice in the last ten years.

**Did you know that for every donation you make to Rensselaer, General Electric will double that gift up to $5,000 each year, no matter where you choose to direct your gift?
