“The Rusty Pipes is used by the Rensselaer community as an outlet to relieve stress from the daily rigor of class. While performing around campus in various events over the years, it’s nice to see all the familiar faces, and some new ones, enjoying their time away from the books.” -- Bradley Schwartz '16, Chemical Engineering, Past RPI Rusty Pipes Music Director
For 18 years, the Rusty Pipes have performed at Rensselaer and local community events for little to no charge. These performances allow for students and community members alike to take a break from working or studying, and just enjoy themselves. This program would allow us to bring this opportunity to a wider range of individuals.
Your gift funds the operations of the Rusty Pipes and the ability to finish our album. Every donation helps us to deliver our music digitally and in-person to our supporters. Gifts will cover the costs of recording, editing, mixing, and producing our newest album. Production of this CD began in 2013, but soon after recording a few songs, the project was abandoned due to limited funds. Any contribution made will help finish what our alumni have started, and add a few songs of our own!
Founded in 1997, the Rusty Pipes are RPI's second oldest a cappella group, and perform original arrangements of songs from many different genres of music. We perform at campus and local events, participate in competitions, host semester shows, and record our music. For more information, please visit the Rusty Pipes website.
