Design Build Fly: 2019
“DBF provides students from a variety of backgrounds with hands-on experience in aircraft design. Every member comes away from the experience better equipped to thrive in environments where interdisciplinary teamwork and creative problem solving are necessary.” – Kenneth Varghese '17
Your gift to Rensselaer Design/Build/Fly will enable us to continue our mission of developing R/C aircraft, and apply the knowledge we learn in the classroom in a competitive interdisciplinary environment. Additionally, this year your support will allow us to make three prototype aircraft configurations, improve our testing and flight performance analysis capabilities, and allow all our new members to experience the AIAA DBF Competition in Tucson, Arizona, first-hand.
What You're Supporting
Your support will help to advance the field of aeronautical engineering by supporting the motivated students that will one day shape its future. You can help us put Rensselaer on the map as a university that is developing top-notch engineers.
Who We Are
The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Design/Build/Fly Team is a student-run club founded at Rensselaer in 2006. Team members rely on their own engineering intellect and available resources to solve technical problems throughout their product development projects. In its decade of history, the team has graduated engineers prepared to tackle the most difficult problems in both industry and academia. Donating to Design/Build/Fly will ensure the team can continue to grow and produce leaders in the aerospace field. For more information, check out our website!
