Rensselaer Electric Vehicle's New Car: Leo

Impact Of Your Gift
In past years, REV has attended the Shell Eco-Marathon and intends to compete in the spring of 2018. A donation would help the club purchase materials that will be used to build our new car, Leo. Additionally, your gift would be used to help the team travel to Sonoma, California to compete at Shell Eco-Marathon. Finally, all donations are a contribution to student learning.
The internal impact of this project for REV would be the ability to allow members of the team to participate in the manufacturing of our newest iteration of a car. We have not made an entirely new car since the spring of 2015, and most members still on the team have never been involved with the process.
In short, you are supporting our students! The point of any competition of this nature is to encourage innovation among students while also sharing these accomplishments with a community of spectators and other universities. The impact on the community (including our student members) is an educational experience that promotes awareness and excitement about electric cars, engineering for efficiency, and alternative energy as the future of transportation.
